1. Pattern and color: True agate has bright vivid color; false agate colors light are worse, more obvious contrast between the two. Natural agate color is obvious, and there are very obvious banding pattern, but the fake imitation agate has brightest and uniform color, giving a false feeling to people.

2. Texture: Mostly fake stone made of imitation agate, soft texture than the real agate, Jade can be scratches on fake agate. The real agate can not. On the surface, really agate do not have few flaws, poor quality are more.

 

3. Temperature: The temperature of true agate is warm in winter and cool in summer. But the false agate with outside temperature changes, hot days it gets hot, cool days it change cool.

4. Weight: true agate jewelry is heavier than the synthetic agate jewelry.

5. Transparency:  The transparency of synthetic agate is better then the true one. And the true agate has little chaos, and someone can see the natural waterline or “cloud ", but synthetic agate transparency is good, as transparent as glass balls.
